Bloodhound is the focus of the newest Apex Legends event, and much like the Octane takeover in Kings Canyon, Bloodhound has established a portion of the map for the hunt.
Bloodhound’s Trials pit the legends of the arena against the prowlers that have taken over in the wake of the games moving to World’s Edge. Fighters will face off against the prowlers as a form of pest control, gaining high tier loot in the process.
The Old Ways event introduces a new prize track, where players will complete challenges to gain rewards.
You’ll also have the option to purchase the skins and cosmetics directly from the shop for up to 1800 Apex Coins.
The Legendary Hunt skins also make a comeback, and will be available for purchase for a week from April 7 to April 14. Once any of these cosmetics are gone, they’re not available for players to obtain — unless they make another comeback — so get them while you can!
The Old Ways and new features
This Apex Legends update also brings back the popular Duos mode. If you’re like me and you somehow attained success with one other person while being bad at the game, then the Duos mode is for you. The good news is that it will now be a permanent option for players.
Apex Legends will also be introducing a map rotation. Players may now get dropped into Kings Canyon’s regular or nighttime variations, as well as the standard World’s Edge map. Respawn may also be throwing in other versions of the map from time to time as well, to “keep it fresh.” I myself had a hard time getting back into Kings Canyon, so you may very well eat my ass if we meet on the battlefield.
If you haven’t seen The Old Ways cinematic yet, seriously check it out here. I love Bloodhound, so this was a seriously enjoyable piece of backstory for my favorite hunter.
Good luck felagi fighters, and be wary that you don’t become prey yourselves.
