New Gunslinger skillset in ArcheAge explained

It’s no secret that ArcheAge and ArcheAge Unchained have been going through a bit of a rough patch. The two started out just right, but they have had a pretty difficult time retaining a healthy player base.

Nevertheless, rather than giving up, publisher Gamigo has decided to merge the two games into one, mixing the 13 servers overall into just 4 servers. There are a lot of upsides and downsides to this merger, but today we’re focusing on something good: the new Gunslinger skillset in ArcheAge.

March 25 is the set date for the new Akasch Invasion update to be released, and it brings along the Gunslinger skillset, the Ipnya Ridge zone, and a lot more new features.

The Ipnya Ridge is a new zone in ArcheAge’s open world, where players will enjoy new quests and missions, fighting off the Akasch Invasion. But if you are reading this article, you are more interested in the Gunslinger skillset, so let’s get right to it.

Gunslinger class

The name is pretty self-explanatory, the Gunslingers in ArcheAge uses guns as their main weapon. The Gunslinger class is fully aimed at players who, like me, enjoy fighting from a distance. Sure, we already have a bunch of ranged classes, like the Archers, Sorcerers, Occultists, and so on, but hey, I always enjoy a new feature in a game.

New Gunslinger skillset in ArcheAge

The new Gunslinger skillset in ArcheAge combines some really potent ranged attacks with a pretty wide variety of critical debuffs, which put together do give the player an advantage in combat – depending on who you’re fighting, of course.

I confess to already have put this game in a corner, but these new features and new class have definitely piqued my curiosity. I’ll be giving it a go again, and I’m hoping other players will give ArcheAge and the Gunslinger a shot as well, as it is a lot more fun playing the game when there is a decent player base.
