Call of Duty: Warzone has evolved a lot since its arrival back in March 2020. Dominant metas have come and gone, bringing notoriety to certain weapons and tactics, and often ending through developer intervention. While most metas are traditionally based around specific weapon sets, there is also no shortage of clever tricks Warzone players have used to win games. In this article we’ll go over some of the weirdest Call of Duty: Warzone metas players have had to suffer through this past year.
C4
The C4 meta gave players the throwing arm of Shohei Ohtani, and the explosive one-shot fury of a Dark Souls boss. It got to the point where players didn’t really need a gun, since they cool use their yeetable explosives to wipe out full stacks of armor and vehicles at full health. After the C4 nerf brought balance and skill back into the fold, the once notorious explosive never truly recovered to even a fraction of its dominance. Good riddance to one of the weirdest metas to grace Warzone.
Off Road Trucking
Battle royale Solos has pretty much become Mad Max Armored Truck battlegrounds. Players taking the battle to the streets, running over anyone in their way. If you’re not rolling around in your Armored Truck, are you even playing Warzone? If you don’t like the meta you better step aside, since it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
If you don’t want to participate in the mayhem, you can just camp. Why risk getting run over? Make sure to have the Resupply perk, proximity mines, your preferred rocket launcher alongside a maxed out rocket reserve, and blast away.

Stim Glitch
You may be reluctant to consider a glitch exploit a meta tactic, but Call of Duty: Warzone enabled this behavior, so here we are. For those of you who don’t know, the Stim Glitch allowed players to carry an infinite amount of non-lethal equipment. This meant that they could lurk in the gas for the entirety of the game without dying, purely by using their infinite supply of stims to bring themselves back to full health. Thankfully Call of Duty: Warzone came up with the solution of ramping up the damage of the gas, preventing players from exploiting this glitch ever again.
Roze Skin
WHO THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD BE COOL TO MAKE A PLAYER SKIN INVISIBLE!? The Roze skin is one of the biggest controversies in competitive Call of Duty history. If it’s an issue, take it out. Don’t leave it in for players to exploit for months…
