The Nemesis is the newest Killer coming to Dead by Daylight in the Resident Evil chapter. As always there is a unique new Killer power, and new perks. In this article I will be analyzing Nemesis’ three unique perks and their potential uses in Dead by Daylight.
Nemesis’ first perk is Lethal Pursuer, and the teachable version of this perk appears on his Bloodweb at level 30. Here is how it works:
“At the start of the trial, the aura of all Survivors are revealed to you for 4/5/6 seconds.”
This perk is going to be a game changer for Survivors, since the Killer can tell where all Survivors are as soon as the match starts. Survivors will need to be prepared to run from the Killer, or at least get away from the area they spawned in.
Lethal Pursuer will be amazing for new Killers in Dead by Daylight, as it allows you to learn where Survivors usually spawn on maps, and how to find Survivors quickly at the start of the trial. I do not expect experienced Killers to run this perk, since they already know Survivor spawn points.
Nemesis’ second perk is Hysteria, and the teachable version of this perk appears on his Bloodweb at level 35. Here is how it works:
“Whenever you put a healthy Survivor in the injured stat with a basic attack, all injured Survivor suffer from the Oblivious status effect for 20/35/30 seconds. Hysteria can only be triggered once every 60 seconds.”
Hysteria can give Killers the jump on unexpecting Survivors. However, using Hysteria effectively will be tricky because it only triggers when a Survivor is injured, and only affects injured Survivors. The reason this is problematic is because you must give up chase on the Survivor you hit to go and surprise a different Survivor. Currently there are no perks that could help you find nearby injured Survivors, except for A Nurse’s Calling.
However, A Nurse’s Calling relies on Survivors healing near you, making Hysteria a highly situational perk. Hysteria could work well on Legion, since Legion excels at keeping Survivors injured throughout the match. That said, unless Hysteria gets a buff, it does not have much use.
Nemesis’ third perk is Eruption, and the teachable version of this perk appears on his Bloodweb at level 40. Here is how it works:
“After kicking a generator, its aura is highlighted in yellow. When you put a Survivor into the dying state with a basic attack, every affected generator explodes, regressing their progress by 6% and causing their auras to disappear. Any Survivor repairing a generator when it explodes will scream and suffer from the Incapacitated status effect for 10/12/14 seconds. Eruption has a cooldown of 90 seconds.”
Eruption has potential in builds that use Pop Goes the Weasel, and also pairs well with Brutal Strength. This perk can give you a lot of information as Killer. You will know where Survivors are when it triggers, and you will know that they cannot finish their generator or heal.
At the same time you must be cautious running it, because going around and kicking every generator makes Killers lose a lot of time.
To capitalize on Eruption you would need to leave the Survivor you downed in the dying state, since by the time you hook that Survivor the incapacitated status effect will no longer be on affected Survivors.
Eruption gives Killers more variety in their generator control perks, but its effect is mediocre and will see little use. Realistically, it will only be on one to two generators at a time throughout a trial.

Overall these new perks give players more options for perk builds. Only Lethal Pursuer will have an impact in low to mid rank games, as new Killers use it to learn Survivor spawn points. But the other two Nemesis perks are mediocre and will not be chosen over current meta perks.
