Destiny 2

Subzero Salvo review and best perks | Destiny 2

Subzero Salvo is the latest rocket launcher added to Destiny 2. This Precision Frame rocket launcher intrinsically has tracking, and fires at 15 RPM. Here are the best perks on Subzero Salvo in Destiny 2.

Perks and rolls

In the first column, only two perks stand out as solid choices. Killing Wind is becoming more and more popular due to the movement speed, handling and range buff. This is fairly easy to activate with a high damaging weapon. Quickdraw is your other best option, allowing you to ready your weapon faster. This perk is great in both PvP and PvE.

In the second column, Cluster Bomb is still the top dog for rocket launcher perks. Its high damage output along with solid AOE makes it a deadly and versatile perk. Demolitionist is also a strong choice for grenade-oriented builds. Thresh is a great perk, but works better against rank and file enemies, and your heavy ammo should often be reserved for boss damage.

Here are the perk combinations and god rolls you should look for:

  • Killing Wind + Cluster Bomb – Cluster Bomb is great for clearing fodder enemies, while Killing Wind will constantly be activated for a steady movement speed buff.
  • Quickdraw + Demolitionist – Demolitionist can be used for some nutty builds, as was showcased with Heretic back in Shadowkeep. Quickdraw means that you will be readied for battle as fast as possible.

Rocket launchers are still not in their strongest in Destiny 2 currently. They have niche uses, but most often you don’t find them in PvP or PvE. Subzero Salvo will make a great Vault item, in the off chance that rocket launchers receive a buff that make them optimal. If you get a god roll to drop, toss it the Vault until that time arises.
