Much to the dismay of many players, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has many team-based minigames, making it even more difficult to win. The reason team-based games kind of suck is because you can get disqualified easily by just getting a bad team. This makes each team round just a game of chance. However, there are ways you can improve the chances of your team winning through your own gameplay.
My first tip for you is to be adaptable so you can make up for something your team may lack. Being adaptable makes you an amazing team player and will allow you to carry your team to victory on most team-based games.
For example, in the Rock n’ Roll minigame, there are two roles to fill, goalies and pushers. If you notice no one on your team is trying to be the goalie by stopping other teams’ balls, then you need to be the one to do it. On the other hand, if no one is pushing your ball and everyone is living out their goalie fantasies, then you need to try and push the ball.
A mechanic that is severely underused in team games is grabbing. Everyone is grabbing players in Slime Climb, Roll Out, and Block Party to try and eliminate them. But there is a lack of it in all team games except for Egg Scramble. Grabbing people is very powerful because you can prevent the enemy team from achieving a goal.
The best situation to grab someone is when there is only one enemy player trying to work against you. You just grab the single person and they are out of commission for a few seconds. If you grab the right people, you can win games. At the very least, grabbing lets you be useful to your team even when you’re directly working on the objective.
I will give you two examples of how essential grabbing is. In Fall Ball, grabbing is especially powerful since usually only one or two players are moving the soccer ball. If three of your team are around the soccer ball, and only one enemy player is trying to score, just grab them. This will prevent them from interacting with the soccer ball and they will have to wait for their team to come help.
The best player to grab to help your team score is the enemy goalie. From personal experience I can tell you that grabbing the goalie works, and helps you team score. Something else you can do with goalies is push them into the net if they are close enough to the edge.
Another example where grabbing can change the tide of a game is Rock n’ Roll. In this game it is common for the enemy team to try and obstruct your ball. However, there are usually only one or two players trying to do this. To stop these players from obstructing your ball, you can just grab them and pull them away if needed. This can allow your ball a clear path into the goal, especially if your team is pushing it. Grabbing players trying to obstruct my team’s ball has gotten me many wins on Rock n’ Roll.
Something else you can do is pay attention to the enemy team, and I am not just talking about the players. You should also pay attention to the scoreboard, because in team games only the team with the lowest score is eliminated. As long as your team is not in last place, you can qualify – so just focus on not being last.
If you see a team is falling behind, or almost falling behind, then focus on doing things to hinder them. In Egg Scramble, if you are even with another team, then target their nest and take some eggs. In Hoarders you can just prevent balls going into the team with the least amount of points. You do not need all the soccer balls in your court, you just need to make sure the team in last place gets no soccer balls.
By paying attention you can also see which team is being singled out. For example, if you are playing Rock n’ Roll and see that red team has blue team’s ball, help them keep control of blue team’s ball so players will be less focused on yours.
Similarly, if you see red raid blue team’s nest in Egg Scramble, then join in for the mayhem. If you watch enemy team players you will find there is a lot you can do to be annoying.
That is all the advice I have for you on how to win your team-based games in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. As with all team games, the more each person understands what has to be done, the easier it is for the team to win. Knowledge is power in any game involving teamwork. Do your best to implement these tips and you can start winning more team games soon.
Good luck in your games and stay tuned for more guides on Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout!
