Capital Games recently released a long overdue Unity tech update for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. The long rumored tech issues seem to be gone as Capital Games can go back to creating content for this $1B revenue grossing game.
With this extra budget behind their graphics and content team, we’ll look at the top 4 missing Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes characters that need to be added.
Hondo has been a key character in the animated Star Wars universe since his debut back in 2009, when he captured and ransomed: Count Dooku, Anakin Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. His charisma, street smarts, and gang of pirates made him a formidable force that commanded respect.
It’s shocking he’s still missing from the Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes roster of characters, since he’s collaborated with and double-crossed so many different factions. He has the combat ability to survive a fight with Anakin Skywalker, reasonable synergy with Bounty Hunters, and could act as an integral leader for a non-existent Pirate faction.
Cal Kestis has been a major win for the oft-troubled Star Wars video game universe, striking gold with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. He’s a survivor of Order 66, a slayer of the Empire, and an adept at both wielding a lightsaber and the force.
He’s another character that can bring a faction of missing Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes characters, since he was a member of the Jedi Order and now the Mantis crew. This wouldn’t be the first time SWGOH has imported other Star Wars video game characters, as they had focused on the Knights of the Old Republic series for a whole year.
Saw Gerrera is arguably the godfather of the Rebel Alliance. His extremist views had him excommunicated, leading him to form his own militia, The Partisans. His tactics were so extreme that he was labeled as a terrorist by the Rebel Alliance.
There’s a few eras to cover, so it’s up to Capital Games if they want him modeled after the Clone Wars, Rebels, or Rogue One versions of Saw Gerrera. His kit could be kitted around offensive leadership abilities, explosive guerilla tactics, and summoning the Bor Gullut.
The main hurdle would be whether to include him as a light side or dark side character. Maybe it’s time for the inclusion of the Neutral tag?
Supreme Leader Snoke
It’s stunning how the main antagonist for Star Wars Episode VII & VIII is still omitted from the current roster of 189 characters. This clone of Darth Sidious / Emperor Palpatine has commanded The First Order to ownership of the majority of the galaxy. His mentorship of Kylo Ren and reclamation of former Imperial leaders has deemed him to be a powerful overseer in the Star Wars universe.
Snoke’s mastery of the dark side of the Force can provide to be the entirety of his kit, utilizing force lightning and the manipulation of individuals’ minds. He was the one that simultaneously manipulated both Kylo Ren and Rey. Here’s to hoping 2020 mildly redeems itself by crossing off Supreme Leader Snoke on the list of missing Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes characters.
Our only honorable mention goes out to Darth Jar Jar Binks. We assume they are saving him for his own game.
