7 biggest new Xbox games coming out in 2022

With the acquisition of several game studios last year, Microsoft is investing heavily in gaming. The results are showing with big Xbox games coming out in the upcoming months, including some exclusive titles. Here are the 7 biggest new Xbox games coming out in 2022.

Redfall is an open-world co-op FPS from Arkane Studios, which previously developed the Dishonored series and the recent immersive sim Deathloop. After a failed scientific experiment, hordes of vampires have invaded the island town of Redfall. Your goal is to purge the town clean from the vampires and human cultists worshipping them.

Redfall features both a single-player mode and four-player co-op. The four characters which will be available at launch each have their own personality and unique traits. Redfall is a Microsoft exclusive, so don’t expect it to come to PlayStation.

Elden Ring

Elden Ring is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2022. FromSoftware has teamed up with writer George R. R. Martin to create the sprawling fantasy world of this brand new action RPG.

If Elden Ring is anything like the previous works by FromSoftware and George R. R. Martin, we can expect a rich narrative campaign, epic conflict, and countless death screens.

Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

The first trailer of Stranger Of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin brought some chaos to E3 2021. This spin-off of Final Fantasy follows the story of Jack Garland and his companions on their journey to defeat a bad guy named Chaos (yes, really.)

Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin breathes some emo energy we haven’t seen in the franchise since the 2000s. The game has already inspired many memes, but it also looks like a promising spin-off more focused on action than most previous Final Fantasy games.

Dolmen is an action RPG set in deep space, where you have to save your timeline from destruction while battling aliens. Not much else is known about this upcoming Xbox title just yet, but it does give off a noticeable Metroid vibe.

Kerbal Space Program 2

Kerbal Space Program 2 is the sequel to the popular 2015’s space flight simulator. This new opus builds on the sandbox features of the original Kerbal Space Program, and adds new features like interstellar travel and colonies.

The biggest change brought by Kerbal Space Program 2 to the original game is the long-awaited multiplayer mode. While there are still no details on how many players can join the same party, having the opportunity to discover the galaxy with friends is a bonus to an already great space exploration sandbox game.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

Harley Quinn and her friends are back with Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. This game is the latest project of Rocksteady Studios, developer of the Batman: Arkham series.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is an action-adventure game set in an open-world version of Metropolis. The Squad counts four members: Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark. You can either play solo and switch between the characters or team up with three other friends to terrorize Metropolis together.

Starfield is the Xbox game coming out in 2022 I’m looking forward to the most. It is an RPG set in space and developed by Bethesda Game Studios, the creators of Skyrim and Fallout. It is the first new IP from the studio in 14 years, so the hype is real.

Even with all this hype, there is still very little information regarding Starfield. The game is scheduled to release on Nov. 11, 2022, so we might get a deeper look into Starfield in the upcoming months.

That concludes our list of the biggest Xbox games coming out in 2022! If you are more of a Sony fan, check out our selection of the biggest PlayStation games releasing in 2022.
