The Wordle words of this week were slightly easier to guess than in the previous weeks. However, two of them were more of a headache. Here are the Wordle words of the week, ranked by difficulty.
Story – May 2
The week started well, with three easy words to guess in a row. The first one was story, a common word with unique letters and vowels. Easy peasy.
Hairy – May 3
Hairy was the second Wordle answer of the week. It may be slightly harder to guess than story, but shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
Train – May 4
Train ends this 3-day winning streak. This word is also easy to guess, but the rest of the week proves more challenging.
Badge – May 6
Badge is a bit more complicated to find, but it’s still doable. While it probably won’t be your starting word, it features common letters so you probably already have a few yellow letters on your first guess.
Midst – May 7
The Wordle answers of this week are getting more complicated with midst. This word only has a single vowel and may take a few more guesses to find.
Homer – May 5
If homer has unique letters and two vowels, this word may not jump to everyone’s mind right away. Besides the Greek philosopher and Homer Simpson, this word may not even right a bell to some of you. Homer means hitting a home run in baseball. It’s also another word for homing pigeon, if you are more into birds than sports.
Canny – May 8
Canny is the hardest Wordle word of this week. Homer was tough for non-baseball fans, but at least it has unique letters to guide you until you find it. Canny doesn’t: with two Ns right in the middle of this word, it could easily end a winning streak.
