Zombie Army 4: Dead War, the latest title in the Zombie Army franchise, is much more complex than the previous installments. For that reason I’ve prepared a quick list of Zombie Army 4 beginner tips, which I’d like to share with you. Get ready!
Stamina and Health
This first tip applies to pretty much every game and it’s a no-brainer. You have to keep an eye on your health and stamina bars throughout the game.
Stamina is exhausted by many actions besides sprinting, like melee attacks, weapon assists and Empty Lung. While we are all pretty used to it from other games, I feel that players need to be especially careful with stamina management in Zombie Army 4. Why? Well, you will not want to run out of stamina when sprinting across a horde of zombies or attacking a special zombie with a melee weapon.
While we’re on the stamina subject, I want to stress how important it is for you to avoid using the rifle’s Empty Lung on normal hordes. Trust me on this.
Upgrading your weapons is one of the most essential things you must do in Zombie Army 4. You might feel like it isn’t necessary in the beginning, but as the story progresses and the enemies become harder to beat, you will need that Upgrade Kit.
They are somewhat hidden within each chapter, but then if you keep a close eye on your surroundings, you will be able to find them. In order to use these kits, you will have to find a workbench and then just follow the procedure.
There are several weapons and armor that can be upgraded in this game, but not all of them will be worth it.
My tip to you is that you focus on the upgrades that allow you to deal more damage to the enemy, so focus on elementary upgrades: Electrical, Incendiary and even Divine.
Don’t waste the medkits
Don’t waste medkits on 40+ health. Use them only when you are really low. You are only able to carry a few medkits at a time, and they are quite hard to come by, so save them for when you are in real trouble.
Complete ALL extra chapter challenges
My next tip on this Zombie Army 4 beginner tips article is about extra chapter challenges. In addition to the game’s main campaign story quests, you will have extra challenges. I highly recommend you do them, as they will grant you a great amount of experience points, which will help you level up faster. That in turn will help you progress through the campaign more easily.
Choose your weapons wisely
While you will quickly become used to counting on your firearms, you should always keep a melee weapon nearby. They are great for fighting off the normal zombies. For that reason, knowing how to properly use them will help you greatly along the way. Saving ammo always helps in the long run.
Make the most out of the Second Chance Perk
The Second Chance Perk is one of the best and most useful features of the game. Why? When your health reaches zero, you’ll fall onto the ground. This perk allows you to shoot your weapon and kill a zombie with a pistol. Doing so will return you to the game with some of your health back. Hence the name “Second Chance”.
And there you have it! Armed with these Zombie Army 4 beginner tips you should have no trouble beating anything the game throws your way! If you need more information to help you through, check out my 5 combat tips for Zombie Army 4: Dead War!
