Genshin Impact Wanderer Build Path – Weapons, Artifacts, teams

Wandering a while longer

Wanderer is already known for his strength and fierceness on the battlefield, but it takes time and a proper build to get there – which is where I come in to help.

Here are some of the artifact sets that you can use with Wanderer:

Luckily, most of Wanderer’s artifact builds are pretty straightforward, and you’ll just need four good pieces of whichever set you chose.

  • Desert Pavillion Chronicle nets you a nice 15% Anemo Damage bonus with a two-piece set. The full set of four gives you a spicy 40% boost to all attacks made by the selected character for 15 seconds after a charged attack hits an opponent, with a nice 10% normal attack speed bonus on top of that.
    • You can find these in the City of Gold Domain in Sumeru.
  • Shimenawa’s Reminiscence grants you an ATK bonus of 18% with two pieces, or you can equip a full set for a 50% attack damage increase for 10 seconds at the cost of 15 energy when casting an Elemental Skill.
    • Farm these up from the Momiji-Dyed Court Domain in Inazuma.
  • Echoes of an offering shares the two-piece bonus with Shimenawa’s, with the full set granting a 36% chance to trigger Valley Rite after every Normal Attack, which increases Normal Attack damage by 70%. The kicker? If that Normal Attack doesn’t trigger Valley Rite, it gains an extra 20% chance to trigger.
    • The Lost Valley Domain in Liyue provides these artifacts.
  • Blizzard Strayer’s two-piece bonus will net you a +15% bonus to Cryo DMG. The four-piece will increase your Crit Rate against Cryo-inflicted targets by 20%. If the opponent is frozen, your crit rate goes up an extra 20%. In the end, you stand to gain a boost of 40% to your Crit Rate, along with any loot your enemies dropped.
    • You’ll be visiting the Peak of Vindagnyr Domain in Dragonspine for these, so dress appropriately.

Stats and weapons

For your main stats, you’ll be aiming for ATK% on your Sands, Anemo Damage on your Goblet, and Crit Damage/Rate on your Circlet.  As for your sub-stats, you’re striving for Crit Damage/Rate, ATK%, flat ATK, Energy Recharge or  Elemental Mastery.

Wanderer is at his best when making use of some pretty pricey weaponry, but luckily there are still a couple of 4-Star weapons he can use when needed.

  • Tullaytullah’s Remembrance (5✩)
  • Memory of Dust (5✩)
  • Skyward Atlas (5✩)
  • Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds (5✩)
  • Dodoco Tales – (Refinement five) (4✩)
  • Kagura’s Verity (5✩)
  • The Widsith (4✩)

Who he’s teaming up with

Anemo Characters are great in almost any team due to Swirl, with Wanderer being no exception.

  • Pair him up with either Xiangling, Xingqiu, and Bennett, for a Vaporize team, or swap Xiangling with Faruzan for a powerful Anemo comp.
    • You can also swap out Xingqiu for either Yelan or Rosaria if you so desire (or if that’s all you have).
    • If you’d like to keep Yelan on the roster, swap Rosaria and Benny for Nahida and Thoma for a great Burgeon comp.
  • For an Electro-Charge comp, stay with Xingqiu and tag in Zhongli and Fischl.
  • A Permafrost comp sees you partnered up with Ganyu, Kokomi, and Kazuha

You’ve got all you need from me! It’s time for you to head out and start building your Wanderer! Be sure to farm him up properly first though so you’re not decked out in great gear while still hitting like a harmless breeze.
