Perks and rolls

Stability and range are the key stats on Contingency Plan. For barrel perks, keep an eye out for Chambered Compensator, Fluted Barrel, and Smallbore. Accurized Rounds is the best magazine perk you can get on this weapon. Tactical Mag and Flared Magwell are some good follow-up perks.

Surplus is the most well-rounded perk in the first column. The additional stat boosts help this weapon a lot. Outlaw is present for an additional reload speed. Pair this with the intrinsic trait when the magazine is empty and you will have a super-fast reload. If you would rather avoid reloading altogether, then look for Subsistence. Tunnel Vision and No Distractions will help this weapon in PvP.

Kill Clip is the best damage perk on this weapon. However, if you want damage perks that are better in high-end PvE content, look for Frenzy or One For All. If you want some more neutral game perks, then look for Elemental Capacitor or Thresh.

Is Contingency Plan any good?

Contingency Plan is one of the few Rapid-Fire Scout Rifles in the game. It is basically an Arc version of Servant Leader. With not an overly large perk pool, there are solid rolls for both PvE and PvP. If you enjoy using Scout Rifles, then this is definitely worth farming for.
