Best perks for the Empirical Evidence Sidearm | Destiny 2

Empirical Evidence is a two-burst Sidearm from the Destiny 2 Witch Queen DLC. It fires at 325 RPM and is an Aggressive Burst with high damage. Here are the best perks you should look for on Empirical Evidence in Destiny 2.

Perks and rolls

You will want to bring up the stability and range on this weapon. Anything that adjusts the recoil direction will help as well. The best barrels to do this are Extended Barrel, Arrowhead Brake, and Chambered Compensator. Flared Magwell and Ricochet Rounds are the best magazine perks.

This is a weapon where Encore works. As a two-burst weapon, it is fairly easy to hit the precision final blows. The added range helps with damage fall-off. Your other options for reload and stat boosts are Perpetual Motion and Ensemble. The only issue with Ensemble is that you need allies nearby.

Your three options for damage perks are Swashbuckler, Adagio, and Harmony. The first two are kill-based, while the latter requires a kill with a separate weapon. This works well when combined with a heavy-hitting Special weapon. If you want added ability regen, then look for Wellspring.

Best combos for Empirical Evidence in Destiny 2

Here are the best perks and rolls you should look for on Empirical Evidence in Destiny 2:

  • Perpetual Motion + Swashbuckler
  • Encore + Adagio
  • Ensemble + Harmony

Is Empirical Evidence any good?

As is the case with most Sidearms, it is hard to use Empirical Evidence in high-end PvE content. On top of that, Sidearms are generally not reliable in PvP. While Empirical Evidence hits hard, the recoil does not feel great on this weapon. It lacks perk variety, where its older brother Breachlight had shined in Season of Dawn.

Empirical Evidence drops from the Throne World and can also be crafted at the Enclave.
