Blast Battue grenade launcher review and best perks | Destiny 2

Blast Battue is a new heavy grenade launcher in Destiny 2. As an Adaptive Frame, Blast Battue fires at 120 RPM and deals Arc damage. Here are the best perks and rolls you can find on Blast Battue.

Perks and rolls

Barrel perks don’t make or break a grenade launcher like they do with other weapons. Look for perks like Linear Compensator, Countermass, or Quick Launch. Magazine perks are the most important, though. For any PvE role, always look for Spike Grenades which will increase your damage output. For a PvP role, look for Proximity Grenades or Sticky Grenades.

In the first column, there are a couple solid choices for Blast Battue. One of them is Clown Cartridge, which adds a random amount of extra rounds to your magazine after reloading. This can boost your DPS, giving you 1 or 2 extra grenades in a magazine. Quickdraw is also a solid perk if you want to have fast ready time.

The second set of perks solely relies on what the grenade launcher is gonna be used for. Rampage is a great damage boosting perk, but requires stacking kills to activate it. Chain Reaction is also great for clearing large groups of rank and file enemies by chaining elemental explosions. Auto-Loading Holster will always be a safe fallback for those who want to avoid reloading.

Combos

Here are the perk combinations and god rolls you should look for on Blast Battue in Destiny 2:

  • Clown Cartridge + Auto-Loading Holster – These two perks combined with Spike Grenades would be the god roll for boss DPS. Clown Cartridge will give you extra grenades to fire and Auto-Loading will allow you to reload while you swap to a secondary weapon.
  • Killing Wind + Rampage – The best combo for a run-and-gun playstyle. This perk set is better suited for clearing large amounts of rank and file enemies, as opposed to dealing maximum damage to beefier targets.

Verdict

Blast Battue is a great feeling 120 RPM grenade launcher and can hold its own when it comes to damaging bosses. Along with having great perk options, it is a newer weapon meaning it won’t be sunset anytime soon. It may not be the best for every boss phase, but in most Strikes and lower end PvE activities it can free up your exotic slot.
