Fractethyst shotgun review and best perks | Destiny 2

Fractethyst is a new Stasis shotgun in Season of the Lost. It fires at 65 RPM and is a Precision Frame, meaning the pellet spread is tighter and most of its recoil is vertical. Here are the perks and rolls you should look for on Fractethyst in Destiny 2.

Perks and rolls

You will want to look for any barrels that boost the range of the shotgun. Corkscrew Rifling, Rifled Barrel, and Smallbore are great choices. For magazine perks look for Accurized Rounds, Assault Mag or Light Mag.

Fractethyst has some great options in the first column. Quickdraw and Slideshot are great neutral game perks that are useful in both PvP and PvE. Ensemble, one of the new perks added this season, grants buffs just for being near your allies. If you would like to just hold down the trigger, then look for Full Auto Trigger System.

Trench Barrel is an option that was once the top dog perk for damaging bosses. Having a roll with this would be great to keep in the Vault if shotguns become meta again. Harmony is an interesting perk, but you need to get a kill with another weapon before it activates. For PvP, look for Opening Shot to improve initial accuracy and range.

Here are the perk combinations and god rolls you should look for on Fractethyst in Destiny 2:

  • Quickdraw + Opening Shot
  • Slideshot + Opening Shot
  • Full Auto Trigger + Trench Barrel
  • Quickdraw + Harmony

Fractethyst is great feeling shotgun. In PvP it makes a great alternative to Felwinter’s Lie in the Kinetic slot. While shotguns are not meta for DPS in PvE, the combination of Trench Barrel and Full Auto Trigger makes it a kinetic alternative to the Ikelos Shotgun. Fractethyst drops from Umbral Engrams and Season of the Lost activities.
