Genshin Impact Razor Build Path – Weapons, Artifacts, teams

The best boy.

Razor can be and is a pretty effective unit with the right build and team, so let’s explore just how to get him built up for battle in Genshin Impact!

Here are some of the artifact sets that you can use with Razor:

  • Pale Flame – 4
  • Gladiator’s Finale – 4
  • Pale Flame – 2 + Bloodstained Chivalry – 2
  • Any Physical DMG +25% set – 2 + any +18% ATK set – 2
  • Any +18% ATK set (2) + any other +18% ATK set – 2

Razor has a few different possible Artifact combinations – but you’ll want to get a full set of Pale Flame to get the best boost to your Physical damage. Two pieces of Pale Flame will net you a nice 25% physical damage bonus, with four pieces giving you a 9% bonus to your ATK for seven seconds after hitting an enemy with an elemental skill. This can stack up to two times and can be triggered every 0.3 seconds. The kicker is that when you hit two stacks, your two-piece set bonus is increased by 100%. Needless to say, Pale Flame is the way.

Gladiator’s Finale has a simple two-piece bonus of +18% ATK. The four-piece bonus gives you a normal attack damage buff of 35% if your character is using a Sword, Claymore, or Polearm. Bloodstained Chivalry will also give you the 25% physical damage bonus you’re looking for – making it a viable option as well.

The following artifact sets have the 2-piece bonus that gives you the +18% ATK bonus you’re looking for:

  • Gladiator’s Finale
  • Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
  • Pale Flame
  • Vermillion Hereafter
  • Echoes of an Offering

You can procure Pale Flame artifacts from the Ride Watch Domain exclusively. Gladiator’s Finale is dropped by all Weekly Bosses (World Level three), all Normal Bosses (World Level five), Tier I Domain Reliquaries, and the Artifact Strongbox. Bloodstained Chivalry artifacts are obtained from the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern Domain

Stat focuses

For your main stats, you’ll be aiming for ATK%, Physical DMG, and Crit Rate / DMG on your Sands, Goblet, and Circlet respectively. Sub-stats are similarly simple – keep an eye out for artifacts with Crit Rate / DMG, ATK%, Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, or Flat ATK.

Razor is a simple guy, but he has some expensive weapon tastes at this point in the game. I remember when Prototype Archaic was still a decent Claymore… I miss that. Hopefully, you’re luckier than I am when building your Razor. Here are some of the Claymores Razor can utilize:

  •  Wolf’s Gravestone (5✩)*
  •  Song of Broken Pines (5✩)
  •  Redhorn Stonethresher (5✩)*
  •  The Unforged (5✩)
  •  Serpent Spine (5 stacks) (4✩)*
  •  Skyward Pride (5✩)*
  •  Lithic Blade (2 stacks) (4✩)
  •  Prototype Archaic (4✩)

Please note that Serpent Spine, Lithic Blade, and Prototype Archaic are the only 4-Star weapons in that list – with Serpent Spine and Lithic Blade only keeping their spots on there with five stacks and two stacks respectively. My Razor has been hungry for a Wolf’s Gravestone since it came out, and yet I am still without one.

Who Razor teaming up with

I may be biased, but trust me when I say that Razor is a great primary DPS unit. For the highest effectiveness, pair him up with Sucrose, Qiqi (or Beidou!), and Zhongli for a Superconduct team. Alternatively, you could take Xiangling, Venti, and Bennett for a nice little Vaporize comp.

You’ve got all you need from me! It’s time for you to head out and start building your Razor! Be sure to farm him up properly first though in order to get him as strong as he can be!
