Genshin Impact Xiangling build path – Weapons, Artifacts, teams

Spicy.

Xiangling can be a pretty effective unit with the right build and team, so let’s explore just how to get her primed and ready for battle in Genshin Impact.

Here are some of the artifact sets that you can use with Xiangling:

  • Emblem of Severed Fate – 4
  • Crimson Witch of Flames – 4
  • Noblesse Oblige – 2 + Crimson Witch of Flames -2
  • Noblesse Oblige – 2 / Crimson Witch of Flames -2 / +18% ATK set – 2 /  Wanderer’s Troupe – 2 / Emblem of Severed Fate -2  (you’re going to pick two sets from here)

Xiangling has quite a few different possible Artifact combinations – but don’t let that freak you out. Her best use case is as an off-field DPS, so that’s how we’re going to be building her. A full set of EoSF will net you 20% Energy Recharge as well as an Elemental Burst damage buff equivalent to 25% of your Energy Recharge – up to a maximum of 75%.

Crimson Witch of Flames’ two-piece bonus grants you a 15% boost to your Pyro damage. The four-piece bonus on the other hand boosts your Overload and Burning damage by 40%. If that wasn’t enough, it also increases Vaporize and Melt damage by 15%. On top of all of that, using an Elemental Skill increases the two-piece bonus by 50% of its initial value for 10 seconds – stacking up to three times.

Noblesse Oblige’s two-piece bonus is a 20% buff to your Elemental Burst damage and the other two pieces of Thundering Fury boost your Electro damage by 15%. Wanderer’s Troupe’s two-piece bonus will net pump up your Elemental Mastery by 80 if you choose that set.

The following artifact sets have the 2-piece bonus that gives you the +18% ATK bonus you’re looking for:

  • Gladiator’s Finale
  • Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
  • Pale Flame
  • Vermillion Hereafter
  • Echoes of an Offering

Resolution of the Sojourner and Brave Heart also give the same ATK bonus but are limited to a rarity of 3-4 stars. Don’t get them unless you absolutely have to for some reason.

Here are the Domains you need to visit for each set of Artifacts:

  • Emblem of Severed Fate – Momiji-Dyed Court
  • Crimson Witch of Flames – Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula
  • Noblesse Oblige – Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern
  • Wanderer’s Troupe – Weekly Bosses and Domain Reliquaries (Spiral Abyss)
  • Gladiator’s Finale – Dropped by Normal and Weekly Bosses, Domain Reliquaries and can be exchanged in the Artifact Strongbox.
  • Shimenawa’s Reminiscence – Momiji-Dyed Court
  • Pale Flame – Ridge Watch
  • Vermillion Hereafter – The Lost Valley, Domain Reliquaries
  • Echoes of an Offering – The Lost Valley, Domain Reliquaries

Stats and spears

Stat-wise you’re looking at getting Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery or ATK%  on your Sands, Pyro Damage on your Goblet, and either Crit Damage or Crit Rate on your Circlet. As for your sub-stats; aim for Energy Recharge, Crit Damage/Rate, ATK%, Elemental Mastery or flat attack

Xiangling has some pretty expensive taste in weaponry. If possible you’re looking to get Staff of Homa, Engulfing Lightning, Primordial Jade Winged Spear, or Serpent Spine. Unfortunately, these are all 5-Star weapons – but fret not. In lieu of most of these, you could use The Catch refined to level five. Will it take a long time to unlock it? Yes, but it’s free.

Who to team up with

Xiangling is a big fan of Vaporizing. I didn’t think vaping got to Teyvat, but what do I know? Pair her up with Childe, Kazuha, and Bennett if possible – alternatively you can swap out Childe for Kokomi, or even Kazuha and Kokomi for Xingqiu and Sucrose. Luckily Xiangling has some good team comp options for free-to-play players – which would make sense considering she’s one of the original 4-Star units in the game. If you’d prefer to Overload you can do that too with Raiden Shogun, Kujou Sara, and Bennett, or you could just be a little firestarter and run Klee, Xiangling, Kazuha, and Bennett.

Now that you’ve got all you need from me, it’s time for me to wish you luck and time for you to head out and get cooking. Get it? Because she’s a chef.
