How to 100% all maps in Ori and the Will of the Wisps

In Ori and the Will of the Wisps getting 100% completion on all maps is no easy task. The maps are large and have many expertly hidden areas and secret breakable walls. In order to get 100% completion you must discover all areas, find all the hidden collectibles, and complete any Combat or Spirit Shrines in the map. Thankfully you do not have to complete every quest to get 100% completion or this process would be a lot longer.

Before starting on your journey, let me tell you about some ways to make your map completion easier. First off, there is a hidden Spirit Shard called Mystery that will reveal secret areas to Ori when he gets close to them. In order to get this Spirit Shard you must have access to the Windswept Wastes and the Burrow ability.

If you have access to both these things, then teleport to the Spirit Well at the entrance of the Windswept Wastes. Go to the right until you hit a sand bridge, and under this bridge to the left is a shovel. Use the Burrow ability on this shovel and you will get an Eerie Gem, which will start a new quest. Now you can teleport back to Wellspring Glades and talk to Twillen.

Twillen will then identify the Eerie Gem for you, revealing it to be the Secret Spirit Shard. Now you can equip this, and while equipped it will reveal secret areas to you when Ori gets near them. With this Spirit Shard you will be able to uncover all the secrets on every map.

This is not the only way you can make map completion easier. If you go to Lupo in the Wellspring Glades, he will have some special deals for you. The only requirement to reach him is to cleanse the waters by playing through the Wellspring area. He will offer you three services: reveal all energy cells on maps, reveal all life cells on maps, and reveal all shards on maps. Notice how he does not reveal the locations of Gorlek Ores – you will have to find those on your own. With the Secret Spirit Shard though, finding them should be a breeze. Lupo does not offer these services for cheap, though! Revealing Energy Cells costs 2,000 Spirit Light, Life Cells costs 3,000, and Spirit Shards costs 4,000.

Lupo will also give you a quest to explore Silent Woods and get back to him. You do not need to uncover all of the Silent Woods map, just talk to him again if you have already been through Silent Woods. Finishing this quest will give you a discount on buying maps from Lupo in the various zones. However, he will not give you a discount for uncovering collectibles for you.

Something that can be easy to forget is that Lupo can be found in every map in the game. If you manage to find him, then Lupo will sell you a map of the area you are in. This is incredibly helpful if you are having troubles with any areas. When the map is revealed to you, all the spots you have not discovered yourself will be in grey. So all you have to do is go to them to officially uncover the spots on your own map.

Now you have the tools needed to get 100% on all the maps in Ori and the Will of the Wisps. You do not need any of these to get your completion, they just make it easier to do. If you are wondering about Combat Shrines and Spirit Shrines, those will be simple. None of them are in hidden areas, so you will find them easily as you explore each map.

If you would rather save some Spirit Light, or are having difficulties with any area, I have a playlist showing you how to get 100% completion on every map in Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
