A lot of advantages come with contracting Sanguinare Vampiris – also known as Vampirism – in The Elder Scrolls Online, but it is not for everyone. For those of you who have accidentally become a Vampire, we’re going to tell you exactly how to cure Vampirism in ESO. You may be surprised by how easy it is.
Why cure Vampirism in ESO at all?
Vampirism is primarily Magicka-based, meaning it benefits players with a Magicka build. That said, anyone going for a Stamina build will not be able to enjoy the benefits that come with Vampirism. In fact, for Stamina build players I would advise becoming a Werewolf. But alas, you will have to cure the Vampirism first.
How to cure vampirism in ESO
In order to get rid of Vampirism, you will need to head over to a Priest of Arkay to cure your condition. You can find the Priest by heading to the Mages Guild in any of the following cities: Riften in Rift, Evermore in Bangkorai, and Rawl’ka in Reaper’s March.
You will have to pay 600 gold and then the Priest of Arkay will set your Vampire skill line to inactive. That way, if you ever wish to become a Vampire again, you can resume your skill line, rather than starting fresh.
How to avoid contracting Sanguinare Vampiris by accident
If you are not planning on becoming a Vampire ever again, you can do one of two things. The first is to become a Werewolf. One cannot have the two skill lines active at the same time in ESO, so if you are a Werewolf, there is no risk of contracting the Vampirism affliction.
If, however, you are not planning on becoming a werewolf, you will only need to pay attention to your enemies. By that, I mean you need to steer clear of Blood Fiends. They only spawn at night, on nights Werewolves are nowhere to be seen. So if you are out for an evening stroll, keep your eyes open for the bloodthirsty creatures.
