Galactic Conquest is the new Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes game mode that’s taking the holotables by storm. Galactic Conquest seems to be a major hit for SWGOH, and players finally have the complete PvE game mode they’ve been asking for. In this guide we will go over how to earn the most rewards in SWGOH Galactic Conquest.
Galactic Conquest presents itself as a spiderweb that lets players travel from node to node, progressing towards fighting the boss at the end of the Sector. There are multiple paths to the same destination, so pick fights you know you can win.
Make it a habit to check two spaces ahead to find yourself the path of least resistance. If you see nodes with a Phoenix or Ewok squad, you can try to wipe them out with a beefy Enfys Nest. If you find a couple nodes with Nightsisters and Rebels, maybe it’s time to unleash your Emperor Palpatine squad.
This new mechanic awards Data Disks to players as they progress through Galactic Conquest. As long as they’re equipped, Data Disks don’t expire – so use them. Each Data Disk offers players a unique boon to every squad, stacking with other Data Disks. Some Data Disks take up more Data Capacity than others, so try to figure out where you’ll earn the most value with the bonuses.
If you have a Dark Side leaning roster, try to accumulate Data Disks that reward debuffing enemies by inflicting more damage. If you have a strong defensive roster filled with Galactic Republic teams and Jedi, try to equip Data Disks that award extra Health, Protection, and Tenacity. To be clear, how you use Data Disks to progress through Galactic Conquests comes down to theorycrafting that’s reliant on your knowledge of SWGOH.
Monitor your stamina
Stamina is a massive new game mechanic that prevents you from steamrolling Galactic Conquest with one squad. Your characters will lose 10% stamina after every battle, resulting in a stat loss if you decide to use them again. It’s likely you can progress through with low stamina using a Galactic Legends squad, but it’ll eventually get heavily nerfed through the stamina penalty.
You can recover stamina passively, or you can use a consumable to instantly regain a percentage of your stamina back. There’s no shame in spending Conquest Credits on stamina boosters for those cornerstone teams that can piggyback you to victory.
Do your research
While this pertains to planning ahead, researching squads goes beyond knowing counters for teams. Galactic Conquest took some Modifiers from Galactic Challenges and added them to the enemies. This means that while you can normally counter a Rebel team easily with Emperor Palpatine, they may have a Modifier that allows them to attack again 100% of the time when they crit, potentially leading to an endless loop of attacks that wipe you out before you take a turn.
Just because your team could regularly counter another team, it doesn’t make it a slam dunk with these Modifiers in play. You might have to lean on your stronger squads further up your roster. It would really suck to lose the opportunity to earn max Keycards because you didn’t do your research.
Spend your Conquest Credits
SWGOH nailed it by preventing currency hoarding in Galactic Conquest through capping the credits at 3500, so spend them liberally. SWGOH rewards players for spending their Galactic Credits by either helping them gear up their roster with fantastic gear, or using Galactic Credits to purchase consumables which progress them further along this game mode.
Check the Feats
Each Sector in Galactic Conquest has Feats to complete. These Feats can range from granting buffs to allies to attacking out of turn a certain amount of times. The Keycard rewards are massive for progressing you along and earning heftier reward crates when the event wraps up. Don’t sleep on these Feats, and try to circle back to them when you finish each Sector.
Try again for missed Conquest Keycards
Galactic Conquest lasts two weeks. There’s plenty of time to redo missions you whiffed on, and grab the Conquest Keycards left behind. These Keycards are what unlocks the major rewards at the conclusion of Galactic Conquest, so try to maximize these rewards while you can.
If you finished all the Sectors within your roster’s capabilities, go back and take your best teams to go for the 3/3 Conquest Keycards. Re-mod your team and adjust your Data Disks if you have to. Chances are you will have geared up some characters by this point as well.
Enjoy the ride
This isn’t the Grand Arena Championships. One slip up won’t ruin the rest of the event for you. Go in with a level head and have some fun. This is your opportunity to test, theorycraft, and enjoy the PvE experience. The stakes are low and the nodes are replayable, so there’s no pressure here to have a perfect run every battle. We’re positive that Galactic Conquest will be the gift that keeps on giving in SWGOH.
