How to earn XP in Call of Duty: Warzone fast

Experience points (XP) in Call of Duty: Warzone allow your profile to progress through a level system, rewarding you with unlockable guns to use in your loadout. While better guns should be a driving force for players to earn XP in Warzone, the Call of Duty Battle Pass uses the same XP progression system and is where you earn all of your Blueprints, Operators, War Tracks, and vehicle aesthetics. In this guide, we check out some of the best ways to earn XP in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Note that there is a difference between XP and Weapon XP. Here we are focusing on player XP.

Double XP Tokens

As you play Warzone and progress through the levels and challenges, you will be rewarded with Double XP Tokens. Each token provides twice the amount of XP you would’ve otherwise earned in a standard game of Warzone. These tokens will speed up your XP progression no matter if it came from kills, crates, challenges, intel, or contracts.

If you decide to use Double XP Tokens, make sure you’re mindful of the timer located in the bottom right of the screen. Once that timer runs out, your Double XP Token will stop rewarding you bonus XP. You can stack or top up 2XP in Warzone games if you know that you’re steamrolling games for the next couple hours.

Intel locations

Kudos to the Call of Duty teams for trying to immerse their story into Warzone. Intel locations are given to players in the form of a picture or text, showing a specific location on the map. If players go to the location, there will be a prompt indicating that players can collect intel to help unfurl the war story of Verdansk. Even if you couldn’t care about the story, Intel locations provide a fat stack of XP. The locations are fairly obvious to spot, so it’s not tough to grab a quick Intel location for 2500-5000 XP.

Daily/Weekly Challenges

Warzone updates Daily and Weekly Challenges with a wide variety of conditions players need to meet. These challenges often don’t handcuff players to playstyles they’re not used to, so there’s no fear of trying to get 20 kills on players affected by a Smoke Grenade. The Daily Challenges are especially simple to swap through, and earn what you’re easily capable of doing. Don’t be surprised if you’re able to tackle one or two a game.

Look for challenges like: begin 3 contracts at Quarry, survive outside of the smoke for 7 seconds, drive for a certain amount of time, get 20 kills. There’s something for everyone, and these challenges reward generous amounts of XP. And the Double XP Tokens we mentioned earlier make these challenges well worth the time and effort.

Play the game

Go out and have fun. You’re rewarded for doing almost anything in Call of Duty: Warzone. Go open those crates, drop loadouts, purchase killstreaks, get those kills, and revive your teammates. Even just existing rewards players with XP.

Call of Duty: Warzone isn’t trying to limit their players by going light on XP rewards, they want you to keep progressing and playing their game. Despite all the glitches, crazy metas, and controversial nerfs, Warzone is looking to stay here for the long haul.
