Ghost Writing in Phasmophobia is one of the main pieces of evidence players use to determine what type of ghost they’re up against. Not all ghosts are literate, so it’s not a guarantee that you’re dealing with one that’ll write you a poem or love note. Here is how to find Ghost Writing evidence in Phasmophobia.
Ghost Writing in Phasmophobia
Only these ghost types can produce Ghost Writing:
- Demon
- Oni
- Revenant
- Shade
- Spirit
- Yurei
Finding Ghost Writing can either be the easiest or most frustrating piece of evidence to get. It’s passive and low risk, but sometimes the ghost is too shy to write something in the book. Don’t be surprised to rule out Ghost Writing in a game, only to eventually pack up the truck and realize it was definitely a piece of evidence you could’ve gotten.
How and where to spot Ghost Writing
Ghost Writing can only appear in the Ghost Writing Book. It hasn’t yet been proven whether random journals found in the location can be used as the Ghost Writing Book, so for now always opt for using the Ghost Writing Book to get your spectral scrawls.
Walking around with the Ghost Writing Book in your hands can technically trigger the evidence to pop up without placing the book on the ground. Instead of wandering around aimlessly attempting to have the ghost write in your book, leave it on the ground and go about doing the rest of your set up. The ghost’s room is the best place to have the evidence appear.
Ghost Writing can look like visible warnings or occult symbols. Players can’t fake or tamper with the book, so if you see anything on the pages, go ahead and submit Ghost Writing as evidence.
