In Pokemon Legends Arceus, Pokemon have Effort Levels instead of EVs that impact a Pokemon’s stats. Players need to master the ways to max out Effort Levels in order to get the most out of their Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus. First, you can check what a Pokemon’s Effort Level is by looking at its stat summary. Alternatively, if you are in the Pasture boxes you will see a selected Pokemon’s stats in the top right. Next to the Pokemon’s stats will be circles with numbers in them: these represent the Pokemon’s Effort Levels.
Pokemon Effort Levels are randomly determined when a Pokemon spawns. Alpha Pokemon have a higher chance of having better Effort Levels than normal Pokemon. The highest you can boost a Pokemon’s Effort Level to is 10, but how can you do this?
Well, Effort Level training in Pokemon Legends Arcause is a lot simpler than EV training. In order to increase a Pokemon’s Effort Level you will need specific items. There is Grit Dust, Grit Gravel, Grit Pebble, and Grit Rock. Each of these items will only raise a Pokemon’s Effort Level by one. So what is the difference between them all?
Each Grit Item can only increase Effort Levels by a certain amount.
- The Grit Dust can only raise Effort Levels up to 3.
- Grit Gravel can only be used if the Pokemon’s Effort Level is at least 3, and can only raise it up to 6.
- Grit Pebble can only be used if the Pokemon’s Effort Level is at least 6, and can only raise it up to 9.
- Grit Rock can only be used if the Pokemon’s Effort level is at least 9, and gives you that final point for the perfect 10.
But how can you get these items? Well, they are randomly awarded to you for catching or defeating Alpha Pokemon, and even some normal Pokemon. You can also find them during Space-Time Distortions, although they show up rarely. Another way to get these items is by finding lost satchels: just check the reward in Lost & Found before retrieving them.
By far the best way to obtain the various types of Grit items is to release Pokemon you have caught. If you are trying to complete the Pokedex you most likely have a lot of Pokemon you will never use. So if you release them you can get a bunch of Grit items to power up your remaining Pokemon, and free up some Pasture space. If you run out of Pokemon to release, it is simple to catch more. If you get lucky there may be an outbreak to help you catch a bunch of Pokemon quickly.
This is everything you need to know about getting max Effort Levels on your Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus. With these Grit items you can make your Pokemon unbeatable.
