How to play Fischl in Genshin Impact

Fischl is one of the strongest 4-star characters in Genshin Impact. Fischl deals most of her damage through her Elemental Skill which spawns in her night raven Oz.

This is the complete guide to playing Fischl in Genshin Impact.

Attacks and Skills

Attack: Bolts of Downfall – Fischl has a 5-chain normal attack. If you charge her arrows, she calls upon the lightning spirts of Immernachtreich, which causes them to do large amounts of Electro damage.

Elemental Skill: NIghtrider – This ability summons Oz, Fischl’s night raven, which deals AOE Electro damage at his landing location. He remains at this location, attacking nearby enemies with Freikugel, which deals Electro damage. This ability can be reactivated while Oz is on the field, bringing him to Fischl’s side. If you hold this ability on cast, you can choose where Oz is summoned.

Elemental Burst: Midnight Phantasmagoria – Oz spreads his wings, giving Fischl movement speed for a short duration. During this time you can move around, causing lightning strikes with any enemy you come in contact with. Enemies can only be struck by lightning once. Oz remains on the battlefield at the end of this ability. If he is already on the field when Midnight Phantasmagoria is cast, his duration is reset.

Passive Talents

Stellar Predator: Ascension 1 – When Fischl hits Oz with a fully-charged Aimed Shot, Oz brings down Thundering Retribution, dealing AoE Electro DMG equal to 152.7% of the arrow’s DMG.

Lightning Smite: Ascension 4 – If your active character triggers an Electro-related Elemental Reaction when Oz is on the field, the enemy shall be stricken with Thundering Retribution, dealing Electro DMG equal to 80% of Fischl’s ATK.

Mein Hausgarten – When dispatched on an expedition in Mondstadt, the time consumed is reduced by 25%.

Constellations

C1: Gaze of the Deep – Even when Oz is not present in combat, he can still watch over Fischl through the crow’s eyes. When Fischl attacks an enemy, Oz fires a joint attack through the crow’s eyes, dealing 22% of ATK DMG. This additional attack only activates on normal attacks that are locked onto an enemy, even if it is blocked by obstacles or misses.

C2: Devourer of All Sins – When Nightrider is used, it deals an additional 200% ATK as DMG, and its AoE is increased by 50%.

C3: Wings of Nightmare –  Increases Nightrider’s skill level by 3. Max level is 15.

C4: Her Pilgrimage of Bleak – When Midnight Phantasmagoria is used, deals 222% of ATK as Electro DMG to surrounding enemies. When the skill duration ends, Fischl recovers 20% of her HP.

C5: Against the Fleeing Light –  Increases Midnight Phantasmagoria’s skill level by 3. Max level is 15.

C6: Evernight Raven – Increases the duration of Oz’s summoning by 2s. Additionally, Oz attacks with your active character when present, dealing 30% of Fischl’s ATK as Electro DMG.

Artifacts

Fischl can be built two ways: as a main DPS and as a support DPS. The support DPS is by far the better option, and with it you want to build the Thundering Fury and Gambler’s artifact set. This will allow you to get the most amount of damage out of Oz and your Elemental Skill. An Electro DMG Goblet will also boost this damage drastically. A 4-piece Thundersoother artifact set can also be run with support DPS Fischl.

Fischl can also be built as a Physical DMG character in Genshin Impact. For this you want to build the Gladiator and Blood Stained Chivalry artifact sets. These will help her deal more damage on her normal attacks. However, this build relies on you having the first constellation for Fischl.
