How to play Venti in Genshin Impact

Venti was the first limited run 5-star to be added in Genshin Impact. A major character in the Mondstadt storyline, we meet Venti near the beginning of the game. As well as being a bard that could captivate his audience, he is the Anemo Archon. Here is how to play Venti in Genshin Impact.

Attacks and Skills

Attack: Divine Marksmanship – Venti wields a bow which can fired off quickly 6 times. Charging up his shot will cause it to have more range and deal a heavy amount of Anemo damage. A falling attack can also be performed while in midair.

Elemental Skill: Skyward Sonnet – Upon activating, Venti summons a Wind Domain on his opponents, launching them into the air and dealing Anemo damage. This ability can be charged, instead placing the Wind Domain on Venti. At release Venti is lifted into the air before drifting down.

Elemental Burst: Wind’s Grand Ode – Firing off a single arrow, Venti calls upon the power of the wind, creating a vortex that sucks in nearby enemies. It pulses Anemo damage and can absorb other elements, dealing 50% extra damage of the absorbed elemental type. Wind’s Grand Ode can absorb Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro.

Passive Talents

Embrace of Winds: Ascension 1 – Holding Skyward Sonnet creates an upcurrent that lasts for 20s.

Stormeye: Ascension 4 – Regenerates 15 Energy for Venti after the effects of Wind’s Grand Ode end. If an Elemental Absorption occurred, this also restores 15 Energy to all characters of that corresponding element.

Windrider – Decreases gliding Stamina consumption for your own party members by 20%.
Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.

Artifacts and builds for Venti in Genshin Impact

Venti is capable of outputting high amounts of damage. However, this is limited by his cooldown and Energy Recharge. Because of this he is best built up as a support, creating Swirl reactions with other elements, and grouping up enemies with Wind’s Grand Ode. Skyward Sonnet is also one of the best abilities for exploration in Genshin Impact. It can help with scaling mountains and ledges, saving you precious stamina.

The best artifact set for Venti is Viridescent Venerer. At 2 pieces, it increases Anemo damage by 15%. At 4 pieces, Viridescent Venerer increases Swirl damage by 60% and infused Swirl reactions reduce the Elemental Resistance of enemies. Look for Anemo Damage bonus on your goblet, as well as Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge sub stats on your other artifacts.
