Xiangling was the first playable polearm character in Genshin Impact. She is the daughter of Chef Mao and the Head Chef of the Wanmin Restaurant. Additionally, she is one of the few characters that can be obtained outside of Wishes. Here is how to play Xiangling in Genshin Impact.
Attacks and Skills
Attack: Dough-Fu – Xiangling wields a polearm, which can perform up to five consecutive attacks. A charged attack can be performed at the cost of stamina, causing her to lunge forward, dealing damage along the way.
Elemental Skill: Guoba Attack – This ability summons Xiangling’s pet panda Gouba. He takes a bite of chili pepper and starts breathing fire, dealing Pyro damage in small AOE 4 times. Gouba will turn to face enemies and can be pushed by the player character.
Elemental Burst: Pyronado – Xiangling summons a Pyronado which revolves around which ever character is on the field. It deals Pyro damage to any enemy it comes in contact with and has a set path.
Crossfire: Ascension 1 – Increases the flame range of Guoba by 20%.
Beware, It’s Super Hot!: Ascension 4 – When Guoba Attack’s effects end, Guoba leaves a chili pepper on the spot where it disappeared. Picking up a chili pepper increases ATK by 10% for 10s.
Chef de Cuisine – When a Perfect Cooking is achieved on an ATK-boosting dish, Xiangling has a 12% chance to receive double the product.
C1: Crispy Outside, Tender Inside – Opponents hit by Guoba‘s attacks have their Pyro RES reduced by 15% for 6s.
C2: Oil Meets Fire – The last attack in Normal Attack sequence applies the Implode status onto the opponent for 2s. An explosion will occur once this duration ends, dealing 75% of Xiangling’s ATK as AoE Pyro DMG.
C3: Deepfry – Increases the level of Pyronado by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4: Slowbake – Pyronado’s duration is increased by 40%.
C5: Guoba Mad – Increases the level of Guoba Attack by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6: Condensed Pyronado – For the duration of Pyronado, all party members receive a 15% Pyro DMG Bonus.
Artifacts and builds for Xiangling
Xiangling can be built two ways: as a Pyro Support DPS, or as a Physical Main DPS. For the Pyro Support run a 4-piece Crimson Witch artifact set to boost your Pyro damage. Increase this boost by also looking for a goblet with Pyro Damage bonus. Look for sub stats in Elemental Recharge, Elemental Mastery, and Attack.
For the Physical build, you can run a 2-piece Gladiator’s Finale with a 2-piece Bloodstained Chivalry. If you plan on focusing on using charged attacks, then opt for a 4-piece Bloodstained Chivalry set. Look for Physical Damage bonus on your goblet, as well as Crit Rate and Crit Damage sub stats. Any Attack % will also increase your damage output with Xiangling.
