How to use the skip in Sanctum of Domination in World of Warcraft

Sanctum of Domination, the latest raid in World of Warcraft Shadowlands, offers a shortcut to go directly from the first boss to the penultimate. Here is how to use the skip in Sanctum of Domination and go from Tarragrue to Kel’Thuzad without killing every other boss.

Prerequisite to unlock the skip in Sanctum of Domination

To use the skip to go directly from Tarragrue to Kel’Thuzad, a member of your raid must have completed the Sanctum of Domination – Damned If You Don’t quest.

Highlord Bolvar Fordragon gives this quest at the entrance of Sanctum of Domination. He asks you to kill Kel’Thuzad four times and bring him back four Phylactery Shards you can loot on the boss.

Once you or a raid member has completed this quest, you can unlock a new shortcut in Sanctum of Domination. This will allow you to skip most of the raid’s bosses and reach Kel’Thuzad by following three easy steps.

A word of caution: unlocking the skip in Normal does not mean you can use it in Heroic and Mythic. Highlord Bolvar Fordragon gives the quest in all difficulty modes. You will need to defeat Kel’Thuzad four times in each difficulty if you want to use all the skips. While most groups will have someone with skip access in Normal and Heroic, unlocking it in Mythic may take more time.

Step 1: Kill Tarragrue

To unlock the skip in Sanctum of Domination, the first step is to kill Tarragrue. This is the first boss of the raid and the easiest, so it shouldn’t be too much trouble for your group, especially if you pick the best Anima powers to defeat Tarragrue more easily.

Step 2: DON’T take the portal to the Eye of the Jailer

Once you killed Tarragrue, a portal will be available to continue to the next boss, the Eye of the Jailer. To unlock the skip to Kel’Thuzad, do NOT take that portal.

Instead, talk to the Ebon Blade NPC standing on the side of Tarragrue’s room. If a member of your raid completed the Sanctum of Domination – Damned If You Don’t quest, she will open a new portal. This portal, with a frost-like effect near it, will bring you directly to the room leading to Kel’Thuzad.

Step 3: Say hi to Kel’Thuzad

The portal will lead you to the Crown of Gorgoa, a round zone leading to three bosses. From there, you can decide to go to Fatescribe Roh-Kalo, Guardian of the First Ones, or Kel’Thuzad. There will be a few enemies to kill on the way. They are not hard to defeat and may drop some Bind on Equip (BoE) items.

As the goal of the skip is to reach the last boss of the raid faster, head directly to Kel’Thuzad. Once this boss is dead, he will lead you to Sylvanas Windrunner, the final enemy of Sanctum of Domination.

This wraps up our guide on how to use the skip in Sanctum of Domination. Once you or one of your raid members unlocked the skip quest, it is a pretty simple way to reach Sylvanas Windrunner without cleaning the entire raid.
