Igneous Hammer best perks and review | Destiny 2

Forged by fire and might.

120 RPMs are one of the most sought after weapons in Destiny 2 for PvP activities. Igneous Hammer is no exception, and is even locked behind a PvP play-wall. Here are the best perks you should look for on Igneous Hammer in Destiny 2.

Perks and rolls

When looking at barrel perks, look for ones that give buffs to stability or handling. Some great options include Fluted Barrel, Smallbore and Corkscrew Rifling. Magazine perks that buff reload speed are top tier on 120 RPM hand cannons – among them, look for Flared Magwell or Light Mag. Stability and handling buffs also work well, as these are the lowest stats on this archetype.

By far the strongest perk in the first column is Rapid Hit, buffing reload speed and stability. Both of these are needed on Igneous Hammer. Outlaw can be a solid substitute if you want speedy reloads. If you want to go for 2-shot potential, then look for Killing Wind.

120 RPMs don’t neccesarily need damage perks, but Igneous Hammer has two options. Rampage will activate on kills, while One for All requires hitting three different enemies. Snapshot and Moving Target also work well, depending on what stats need a buff. Celerity is by far the weakest perk in this column.

Combos

Here are the perk combinations and god rolls you should look for on Igneous Hammer in Destiny 2:

  • Outlaw + Rampage – This combo is great for chaining kills. Outlaw helps mitigate slow reload time, while Rampage helps with damage output.
  • Rapid Hit + One for All – Similar to Outlaw, Rapid Hit boosts both stability and reload speed, without needing a final blow. One for All can be easily stacked to get a solid damage buff.

Verdict

120 RPM hand cannons are one of the strongest weapon archetypes in Destiny 2 PvP. Their ability to 3-tap at decent ranges makes them indispensable. Igneous Hammer is no exception to this rule. It can compete with most other hand cannons currently being used, and has a solid collection of perks. Igneous Hammer only drops from Trials of Osiris and its related bounties.
