Imperial Needle is the newest bow in Destiny 2. Added in Season of the Chosen, it is in the Energy slot and deals Void damage. It is also a Lightweight Frame, giving it a draw time of 612. Here are the perks and rolls you should look for on Imperial Needle in Destiny 2.
Perks and rolls
In the first column, Killing Wind is one of your best perk options. Impulse Amplifier, which is a new perk that increases projectile velocity, is also present. This perk makes it easier to hit your shots, and decreases travel time. Archer’s Tempo is a neat option to reduce the draw time of the bow, but the draw time is already fairly low.
Frenzy is present in the second column, which is the newest damage dealing perk. You can also roll Swashbuckler, which pairs well with melee builds. If you want to get lots of ability recharge, then you want Wellspring.
Combos
Here are the perk combinations and god rolls you should look for on Imperial Needle in Destiny 2:
- Killing Wind + Wellspring – Wellspring refunds ability energy, while Killing Wind increases weapon range, mobility and handling.
- Impulse Amplifier + Swashbuckler – Impulse Amplifier makes this bow almost a hitscan weapon, while Swashbuckler can increase damage output.
Verdict
Bows are still not in the strongest spot in Destiny 2, but Imperial Needle’s unique perk pool makes it a viable choice for some builds. It’s ability to roll with Impulse Amplifier makes this weapon more precise and reliable. At the time, it is the only bow that can roll with this perk.
In PvP, you most likely will not be running this weapon unless you have Quickdraw to increase the handling and stow speed.
