Shadow Price best perks and review | Destiny 2

Shadow Price has returned in Destiny 2, with a new set of perks. It exclusively drops from Nightfalls, meaning it can be farmed quickly on certain weeks. Here are the best perks you should look for on Shadow Price in Destiny 2.

Perks and rolls

Shadow Price fires at 450 RPM, making it a Precision Frame Auto Rifle. It also deals Arc damage. For barrel perks, look for ones that buff range, like Extended Barrel or Smallbore. Magazine perks should focus on boosting mag size, making Tactical Mag, Appended Mag, and Extended Mag great choices.

In the first column, Overflow can be used to massively boost mag sizes. Feeding Frenzy is another solid reload option, but requires kills. Other notable perks would be Killing Wind and Surplus, but these can be somewhat niche.

One For All is a great damage perk that is found in the second column. It only requires three enemies to set up and lasts for roughly 10 seconds. Another solid damage perk choice is Swashbuckler, but this is better suited for melee based builds. Dragonfly can also be strong, especially when combined with a Dragonfly Spec mod.

Combos

Here are the perk combinations and god rolls you should look for on Shadow Price in Destiny 2:

  • Overflow + One for All – This combo of perks allows you to unload tons of rounds into your enemies without having to reload. Combine this with Extended Mag for even more mag capacity.
  • Feeding Frenzy + Swashbuckler – Both of these perks thrive once you get a couple of kills. Getting a melee kill will max out your Swashbuckler stacks instantly.

Verdict

As a 450, Shadow Price has a tough time competing with other Auto Rifles. It fires a little too slow for my taste, but it is consistent at landing precision hits due to its frame type. The best activities to use Shadow Price are activities where the stakes aren’t high, such as Playlist Strikes or Patrols. In PvP, Shadow Price has one of slowest TTKs (time to kill) for Auto Rifles. This means it will get outgunned in most one-on-one scenarios.

Adept versions of this weapon can drop from Grandmaster Nightfalls.
