Wordle has taken the internet by storm, letting players compete against their friends in a battle of word-based puzzles. Destiny 2 players have just received their own Wordle-like minigame, instead using the game’s weapons as the puzzle. Here are some key things you should know about Rolldle, the Destiny 2 minigame.
What is Rolldle?
Rolldle is a Destiny 2 minigame from the creators of Light.gg, one of the major community-ran databases for the game. Rolldle plays on a five-column system, with each one correlating to a perk. After each guess you will get three results, a green check for being correct, a down arrow, or an up arrow. A down arrow means the correct perk is less popular than the one you picked while an up arrow means the correct perk is more popular.
How is it different from Wordle?
The major key difference between Rolldle and Wordle is the focus on random weapon rolls. You are given a rating for the weapon (S, A, B, C, D, or F) as well as a color grading from red to green. These ratings are based on the popularity of perks on that weapon. This is where the difficulty of this minigame comes in, as a perk you think is good could be rated lower by other players.
Another key difference is Rolldle can be played as many times as you want, while Wordle offers one go per day. This comes at a cost though, because it is highly unlikely you will get the same roll as your friends. The developers have said that there are around 200 weapons with roughly 7000 possible rolls each.
