2022 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years for video games in recent memory. Cuphead developer StudioMDHR look to add to that hype by announcing a release date for its long-awaited Cuphead: Delicious Last Course DLC at The Game Awards 2021. The original DLC teaser trailer was released in 2019 when they began production. Here’s to hoping the delays were well worth the wait!
Cuphead: Delicious Last Course DLC is being released for PC, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in early spring 2022. Players can expect tons of side-scrolling run-and-gun gameplay with new weapons and charms, bosses, more Big Band and Jazz tunes, a whole new island in the Inkwell Isles, and a new playable character, Ms. Chalice.
Cuphead Directors Chad and Jared Moldenhauer previously announced that this will be the final chapter for the award-winning game. Cuphead’s DLC was originally slated to be released in 2019, only to be delayed several times due to COVID-19 and fine-tuning.
This is certainly great news for those of you who enjoyed the original punishing sidescroller. The DLC should arrive in June 2022 – be sure to check back in after the DLC’s release for some Cuphead: Delicious Last Course content! We don’t imagine guides will help much with the game’s intense difficulty, but we promise to try.
