Marsupilami: Hoobadventure, the latest title from publisher Microids has been announced and is set to launch on consoles and PC on Nov. 16. Based on André Franquin’s Marsupilami comic, Marsupilami: Hoobadventure will see players take the roles of three Marsupilamis – a fictional animal species – in this 2.5D platformer.
The game revolves around Punch, Twister and Hope, who reside in the Palombia forest. Upon accidentally opening a cursed sarcophagus, the trio release a ghostly figure who curses the animal life in the forest. Punch, Twister and Hope are luckily immune to the curse. The cast then set off to reverse the curse and save their fellow animal friends.

The game is inspired by Franquin’s comics and focuses on capturing an audience both young and old. Marsupilami: Hoobadventure is said to offer a bevy of platforming levels, across many distinct biomes. Microids have teased levels incorporating the Palombian jungle, a coastal city, and an abandoned temple.
The game will offer a Time Attack challenge mode, which encourages players to complete each level as fast as possible. Unlockables including gallery art will be obtainable after gathering the game’s many collectibles, including hidden items and “secret dojos.”

The game will be releasing on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac. Microids will also be releasing a physical Marsupilami: Hoobadventure Tropical Edition for consoles. This special edition includes a door hanger and two sticker sheets. A Collector’s Edition will also be available and will include a 14cm Marsupilami figurine.
