Aliens: Dark Descent announced for 2023

This edition of the Summer Game Fest was filled with space horror games. Among these games, one popular fictional universe is getting a new game in 2023. Aliens: Dark Descent makes marines and Xenomorphs fight once again in a brand new trailer.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns gets a new hero and a release date

Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the upcoming tactical RPG set in the Marvel universe, unveils a new hero from its roster: Spider-Man. Flashback receives a sequel 30 years after the original game

This was a reveal we did not expect: Flashback is getting a sequel. This sci-fi platformer came out in 1992 on the Amiga and Mega Drive. If you played this game, chances are you are feeling pretty old knowing that this game is finally having a sequel 30 years later.

Ex-Blizzard developers reveal post-apocalyptic RTS Stormgate

The most popular goats of gaming are back with Goat Simulator 3 – even though there was never a Goat Simulator 2. Coffee Stain Studios announced this new game with a trailer that looks just like the one for Dead Island 2, but with more goats.

The Last of Us Part 1 PS5 Remake

This was probably one of the biggest announcements of the Summer Game Fest, even if it leaked before the show. The Last of Us Part 1 is getting a PS5 remake on September 2, 2022. The game will feature new combat options, 60 FPS performance, and new enemy AI based on The Last of Us Part 2.

The Summer Game Fest also unveiled new games, like Layers of Fears, Witchfire, Routine, or Fort Solis. Other games revealed more about their gameplay, such as The Callisto Protocol, Nightingale, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Mario Strikers: Battle League and The Quarry both got launch trailers.

A shirtless Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson even appeared to promote Fortnite and his upcoming movie, Black Adam. Naughty Dog also shared a first look at the standalone multiplayer game set in The Last of Us universe, even though we don’t know much more about it yet.
