Warframe’s The Duviri Paradox is set to twist some Tenno minds

Digital Extremes, a global games developer and publishing studio, is inviting players, new and old, to embark on a wild, time-looping trip through a shattered and ever-changing multidimensional universe in Warframe’s highly anticipated dramatic update – The Duviri Paradox.

The Duviri Paradox hits all platforms on Apr. 26 and introduces an exciting new way to play the mech-suit superpower fantasy by evolving its gameplay mechanics and introducing roguelike-inspired elements that combine classic Warframe with an entirely new approach to storytelling, accessibility, and design. A cinematic trailer for The Duviri Paradox has been released, providing a riveting glimpse into the warped mind of Dominus Thrax and hinting at the frightening challenges that await the Drifter as he enters a time-looping and whimsical new Open World.

When new players first delve into Warframe, they will be given two options: begin their trip with The Duviri Paradox as the Drifter or begin their journey with their Warframe through the game’s main path. The Duviri Paradox Quest will be available in the codex for returning players, and Duviri will appear on their Star Chart. All players, new and old, will be able to continue their post-Quest journey in Duviri by choosing one of three game modes: ‘The Circuit,’ a new Warframe-Only infinite game mode, ‘The Duviri Experience,’ a full open-world adventure, and ‘The Lone Story,’ a solo narrative experience.

The Duviri Paradox introduces Warframe’s fourth open world, a shattered and Void-wrecked unknown controlled by Dominus Thrax – a being with enough power to change the surroundings solely through his mood spirals. In The Duviri Paradox, each mood is aesthetically diverse in environments and combat, as opponents and people of Duviri respond and behave differently, and colors change to create a new experience with each voyage. The update enhances the Drifter experience by adding an improved melee fighting system and Intrinsics for players to improve their fighting, Riding Abilities, Opportunity, and Endurance.

Aside from the story, side objectives, and activities, The Duviri Paradox will bring together the core Warframe experience with all things Drifter. The Undercroft, a shattered Void space where Dominus Thrax could not totally dominate the Void, lies underneath the floating islands of Duviri. The Undercroft contains a full Warframe experience free of Dominus Thrax’s gaze, with custom Warframe arenas where Decrees also matter and a mix of recognized foes and Warframe dangers. Completing this Warframe portion of The Durivi Paradox rewards players and returns them to Duviri while bringing color back to the shifting world above.

With tons of new mechanics, content, and a whole new open world – The Duviri Paradox is set to enhance the Warframe status quo in a new and welcome way. The Duviri Paradox arrives Apr. 26 on all major platforms!
