Smite is getting an Avatar: The Last Airbender battle pass in July

Prepare yourselves, Smite fans – the Fire Nation is coming to attack your wallets this July. Hi-Rez has officially announced another crossover battle pass, similar to what they did with RWBY. This time they’re partnering with Nickelodeon, hosts of the cult classic animated series Avatar: the Last Airbender!

Hi-Rez seems to be changing the battle pass formula this time around as well. It looks like six skins are coming out instead of the usual four for the Smite Avatar pass. Instead of one skin per each of the four Smite characters involved, there’s going to be two skins for three Smite characters.

What does this mean in practical terms? It means that Merlin will be getting two Aang/Avatar skins, Susano will get two Zuko skins, and Skadi will get two Korra skins. The base track will contain the base character skin, while the Prestige Track will contain their Avatar counterparts (or Blue Spirit in the case of Zuko).

Pricing has yet to be announced for the Smite Avatar Battle Pass. However, we speculate that if it’s anything like the RWBY Battle Pass, it might cost a little more. The RWBY Battle Pass was 750 Gems (a little under $15) compared to the standard Battle Pass price of 600 Gems (around $10). It’s possible that the Avatar Battle Pass will be similarly priced, but again this is currently just our personal speculation.

A little personal note: color me surprised that Aang/Avatar isn’t Vamana. Vamana’s basic skin looks an awful lot like Aang as is, and his default voice lines contain quotes from Avatar: the Last Airbender already.
